Died Oct. 21, 2002, aged 79; survived by her husband, Dr. Mike, and daughters Dr. Susan and Dr. Leslie Rourke. Leslie Rourke commented: “She was a kind, caring physician, friend, wife, mother and grandmother.”

Died Mar. 23, 2002, aged 77, following several strokes; survived by his wife, Dorothy, and children Dr. Brian, Wendy, Blake and Blair. Brian Cameron commented: “Physician, sportsman, musician, loving husband and father — he did it all and made it seem so easy.”

Huggins, Donalda M., Winnipeg; University of Manitoba, 1935; anesthesia; former professor and head, Department of Anesthesia, University of Manitoba. Died Sept. 6, 2002, aged 91. “She established the chair of anesthesia at the University of Manitoba. She eventually took arts classes with students 40 years her junior, never admitting to her previous accomplishments.”

Died Oct 2, 2002, aged 91; survived by his wife, Kristine, and a son, Dr. Felix Tyndel, who commented: “Medicine helped him to survive the Soviets and the Nazis, and to leave the aftermath of the Austro-Hungarian era for life on another continent.”

Died May 22, 2002, after battling suicidal depression; survived by his wife, Beverley, and Bagel the Beagle. In his obituary, his wife commented: “I am at peace because he is at peace.”
