CMAJ has been made aware of errors that occurred in an article published Jan. 7, 2019.1
In Figure 1, the unit of measure for brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) should have been ng/L, rather than mg/L.
The unit of measure for high-sensitivity troponin levels should have been ng/L, rather than ng/dL. This error appeared in the text and in Box 2.
In the last paragraph of the section “What preoperative investigations should be ordered for this patient?”, the second sentence “On postoperative day 1, her serum high-sensitivity troponin was ….” should have specified “high-sensitivity troponin T”: “On postoperative day 1, her serum high-sensitivity troponin T was ….”
In the first paragraph of the section “What is the most likely diagnosis?”, the second sentence “Using the high-sensitivity troponin assay …” also should have specified “high-sensitivity troponin T”: “Using the high-sensitivity troponin T assay ….”
These errors have been corrected at cmaj.ca.
