Outcome measures in solid organ donor management research: a systematic review

2020, Journal of the American College of SurgeonsHormonal Therapy in Organ Donors
2019, Critical Care ClinicsSystematic review on the treatment of deceased organ donors
2018, Transplantation ReviewsCitation Excerpt :During the screening process, we did identify nine RCTs that assessed effects of T3 treatment on haemodynamic stability in the donor. Of these studies, none found any differences in haemodynamic donor parameters or inotropic needs [42, 73–80]. As a result, the current national guidelines of National Health Service Blood and Transplant in the UK no longer advise administration of a rather costly T3 as part of the DBD donor management.
