2020, Eating BehaviorsCitation Excerpt :Means and standard deviations were computed for continuous variables, while counts and percentages were presented for categorical or dichotomous variables. Because weight and eating behavior have been related in previous literature (French et al., 2014; Hays & Roberts, 2008; Karlsson et al., 1994; Karlsson, Persson, Sjöström, & Sullivan, 2000; Lawson et al., 1995; Lindroos et al., 1997; Tepper & Ullrich, 2002), Pearson's correlation coefficients were calculated to assess any association between eating behavior and baseline BMI categories and to evaluate potential multicollinearity prior to including both eating behavior and baseline BMI categories in the logistic regression models. Logistic regressions were used to compute odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) to assess the association between the subscales of TFEQ and likelihood of having excessive GWG with respect to the IOM recommendations.
