Dear Sir or Madam: The comparisons I see are for lumpectomy with radiation vs. mastectomy without radiation. I have recently read that at the University of Florida they have discovered that radiation following mastectomy is usually successful in decreasing even more the chances of reoccurring cancer. This changes the whole "lumpectomy with radiation is as good as mastectomy" discussion. Women want to know what to do for their survival. I believe most women would undergo a mastectomy with radiation and possibly later reconstruction if that would ultimately have the best survival rate. Thankyou, Dot
