McMillan award from Blue Cross for his devotion and dedication to improving the quality of life for others.”

Died Sept. 10, 2002, aged 97; survived by is wife, Beryl. “His grandfather James was the first physician to practise in Niagara Falls. At one time the 22-room home built in 1930 by McGarry's father was shared by himself, his 3 brothers and his father — all doctors.”

Died Sept. 19, 2002, aged 83; survived by his wife, Margaret, and 5 children. Dr. C.B. Henderson commented: “He was the first resident psychiatrist in the BC interior and received the Freeman of the City of Kelowna award. His 10-year partnership with Dr. Ken Davies was particularly effective. Frank used to say, ‘If patients need to be nurtured, send them to Ken; to be challenged, send them to Frank.’ ”
