His daughter, Dr. Sonia Anand, wrote: “He practised general surgery in Kentville, NS, for 20 years, and then completed his master’s in public health at Johns Hopkins University. He returned to practise surgery in Napanee, Ont., for 10 years, and held an adjunct appointment at Queen’s University, where he taught surgery and community health.
