Could you please speak to shock-wave therapy that is now being employed by many physiotherapists? I personally had this condition last summer. In addition to the eccentric strengthening exercises, we also did 6 shock-wave therapy treatments. My symptoms resolved within approximately 3-4 months. It’s hard to tease out whether the shock-wave therapy helped or whether it was mainly the eccentric strengthening exercises and eccentric stretching. If you could shed some light on the evidence for and against shock-wave therapy, that would be great!
