RE: Superscan” in diffusion-weighted imaging with background body suppression magnetic resonance imaging
    • Leonard Avruch [BA, MSc, MD, FRCPC], Radiologist (retired), Ottawa Hospital

DWIBS is not a new technique and can be implemented on any up to date MRI scanner. It is useful for initial staging and follow up of many soft tissue and skeletal malignancies. Unfortunately it is underappreciated and underutilized in Canada due to ongoing scarcity of MRI scanners.

    Competing Interests: None declared.
