I enjoyed the CMAJ article by Fang-Yih Liaw and Chien-Ping Chiang, and wish to suggest a possible revision to the male to female ratio of Bier' spots.Currently available information has revealed that the male to female ratio is 2:1, indicating that men are predominantly affected by the condition rather than Liaw FY et al mentioned that the bier's spots were more common in women than men in CMAJ. However, we reviewed all the cases reported in English found that the male to female ratio is near 1:1. That is, there is no gender predominance in bier's spots.
