Access to abortion

In her letter, Andree Cote cites the ignoring of basic human rights of women which, within the context of the letter,I assume to mean "a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy."

Focusing on this one right can lead to lack of attention to other critical rights of the mother during pregnancy. These include the right to proper health care,the right to adequate nutrition,the right to financial security both before and after birth,the right to proper housing and the right to the respect and support of the child's father.

Maybe if these were given the attention they deserve, some unwanted pregnancies may become wanted.
