Beardmore, Harvey Ernest, Morin-Heights, Que.; McGill University, 1948, pediatric general surgery. Died Feb. 10, 2007, aged 86.

Bérubé, Joseph J. Guy; Université Laval, 1949, ophthalmology. Died Feb. 15, 2007, aged 82.

Carrier, René, Sherbrooke, Que.; Université Laval, 1957, diagnostic radiology. Died Feb. 15, 2007, aged 78.

Flint, Anna, Tel Aviv, Israel; Université René Descartes, France, 1947, dermatology. Died Sept. 29, 2005, aged 83.

Lopeter, Wanita Claire, Chestermere, Alta.; Dalhousie University, 1999, family medicine. Died Jan. 11, 2007, aged 36.

Martinovsky, Zdenek, Regina; Univerzita Karlova, Czechoslovakia, 1953. Died Feb. 14, 2007, aged 77. “He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, children, Svatava (Andrew) and Zdenek Jr., and 2 granddaughters.”

Ménard, Claude, Montréal; Université Laval, 1958, general surgery. Died Feb. 21, 2007, aged 74.

Moore, Sheila Joyce, Vancouver; University of Oxford, England, 1949. Died Feb. 22, 2007, aged 82.

Morgan, Bruce Evan; Queen's University, 1951, general surgery. Died Feb. 12, 2007, aged 83.

O'Driscoll, Robert Francis, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; Dalhousie University, 1950, general surgery. Died Feb. 12, 2007, aged 80. “Predeceased by his wife, Pauline, Dr. O'Driscoll leaves to mourn children, Robert (Beverly), Mark (Bernadette), Martha (Mark) and Mary, 6 grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends.”

Page, Denis Edouard, Ottawa; University of Ottawa, 1965, internal medicine. Died Feb. 21, 2007, aged 70. “Denis' life shone with a profound love for his family and a joy of seeing perpetuation through his grandchildren. Medicine occupied a large place in his life; doctors, nurses, secretaries, patients and many others at the Ottawa Hospital took turns accompanying him on his journey in life. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jacqueline, his 3 children, Christiane (Dennis), Marie-Claude (Jean-Francois) and Francois (Karin), and his 8 grandchildren.”

Pangalos, Constantine, East York, Ont.; University of Athens, Greece, 1953, diagnostic radiology. Died Feb. 17, 2007, aged 81.

Patton, Donald Robert, Montréal; Dalhousie University, 1960, diagnostic radiology. Died Feb. 13, 2007, aged 74.

Richardson, Harold, Dundas, Ont.; Newcastle University, England, 1962, medical microbiology. Died Feb. 12, 2007, aged 68. “Dr. Richardson strived to make a difference in the lives of the people he knew. His efforts to promote higher education for physicians at McMaster University were symbolic of his passions. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and children, Anne (Jim), Louise (Tim) and Andrew (Gennine).”

Rossi, Servio, Mont-Royal, Que.; University of Rome, Italy, 1950, obstetrics and gynecology. Died Feb. 9, 2007, aged 80. “Dr. Rossi died peacefully in Castelforte, Italy, at the home of his birth. He graduated in medicine at the University of Rome. Following specialty training in Canada, he practised obstetrics and gynecology in Montréal and was department chief at the Santa Cabrini Hospital for over 25 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Josephine, and his children, Maria (Andrew), Tommaso, Antonia and Kathleen.”

Strathearn, John Kenneth, Orillia, Ont.; University of Toronto, 1947. Died Jan. 13, 2007, aged 83.

Sugiyama, Shigeru, Chatham, Ont.; University of Western Ontario, 1964. Died Feb. 19, 2007, aged 75.

Uden, David Elliott, Seneca, SC; McGill University, 1962, internal medicine. Died Feb. 17, 2007, aged 70.

Unsworth, Nicholas John, West Sussex, England; University of London, England, 1978, family medicine. Died Feb. 12, 2007, aged 54.

Wai (married name Lam), Bik-May; Vancouver; Lingnan University, China, 1954. Died Feb. 22, 2007, aged 74. “Predeceased by husband, Dr. Chung-Nin (Robert) Lam, May was a devoted mother to Fiona, Shona and Bruce (Linda) and grandmother to Robert. May did her medical residencies in obstetrics and gynecology in Scotland and England. In 1993 she was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, England. May was also an accomplished painter and musician.”

Westgarth, Arthur, Bowmanville, Ont.; Newcastle University, England, 1960. Died Nov. 11, 2006, aged 75.
