Died accidentally Aug. 6, 2003, aged 45; survived by his wife, Susan, and 4 children. Colleague Glenn Brown told the Kingston Whig-Standard that Dr. Potvin's recent appointment as residency director indicated “the strength of his relationship with his students … and residents.” Susan Potvin commented: “His caring nature, his enthusiasm, his quest for excellence and his sense of humour will be missed by colleagues, students and patients alike.”
