Died Apr. 3, 2002, aged 82; survived by his wife, Hope, and 5 children. “He was one of the highest decorated Canadian aces in World War II, earning the Distinguished Service Order and Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar. In 1943 he assumed command of RAF ace Johnnie Johnson's legendary 127 Fighter Wing.”
