Savory, M. Frances, Riondel, BC; St. Andrew's (Scotland), 1970. Died in a car accident Feb. 21, 2002, aged 56; survived by her late husband's 3 children. Her sister, Fiona, told the BC Medical Journal: “Every year she arranged for a gift for each child in Riondel, which was delivered by Father Christmas in a sleigh. Her family hope to donate her medical equipment, supplies and office furniture to a local organization to encourage the survival of the Riondel Medical Centre.”

Audrey Johnston, his receptionist for 29 years, told the Halifax Chronicle-Herald: “In the early years he never took appointments, so when the office doors opened there would often be a long line of people waiting. He'd see them all — he wouldn't even stop to eat.”
