Patient advocacy system in Hungary

Abstract

This paper describes the history and development of patients' rights legislation in Hungary. The establishment of a patient advocacy model is a feature of this process. The impact of this model, translated into practical terms forms the basis for discussion of the results of the scheme and potential for its improvement.
