2022, NutritionCitation Excerpt :The authors report significant differences in SBP in the type 2 diabetes group, with no other side effects in any tested group [34]. In contrast, Hsieh et al. [6] report that oral stevioside decreased SBP and DBP in patients with mild hypertension compared with placebo. The patients took capsules containing 500 mg stevioside powder three times daily for 2 y. Most significantly, no significant adverse effects were noted.
