I am a retiring FM specialist. In my experience, I have suspected that there may be a connection between sepsis and subsequent emergence of dementia (i.e., with brain shrinkage and multi-infarcts on magnetic resonance imaging). Did your studies evaluate or look for a higher incidence of dementia also?
