Bar-Or, Oded, Ancaster, Ont.; Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, 1965. Died Dec. 8, 2005, aged 68; survived by his wife, Marilyn, and children Amit, Yuval, Paz, Tali and Todd. He was the „founder/director of the Children's Exercise & Nutrition Centre at the Faculty of Health Sciences of McMaster University. He is recognized for his pioneering research and devotion to the health and well-being of children and adolescents the world over.”
Bruser, David Moses, Winnipeg; University of Manitoba, 1936, orthopedic surgery. Died Dec. 26, 2005, aged 94; survived by his wife, Gladys, and children Barbara, Bert and Brina. A medical officer in the RCAF during World War II, he was decorated with the Member of the British Empire Medal in 1944. „Dr. Bruser specialized in knee surgery, and his article on the approach to the lateral miniscus of the knee joint, which he originated, was published in the British Journal of Orthopaedics and in the definitive text book, Campbells Operative Orthopaedics.”
