The caption on Fig 1:C talks about "..masses mimicking tumours."

Masses are tumours. A tumour, in medical usage, is a swelling. It may be a neoplasm, or an area of inflammation as in 'tumor, dolor, calor'. In lay usage tumour has come to mean malignancy, but I believe that there is no place for such imprecise terminology in a peer reviewed medical journal.
